Dance Time

Tanya and Natalie came over today and danced in my room and listened to records. They want to start a band. Of course they do. And of course they asked me to be apart of it. Fuck no. Dad said he is going to buy me a new base because I need a new one. The one I've been playing is old and I want a new PA.

I cut my hair today too. I shaved the sides off and I made the top spikey wavey, like how Robert Smiths is kind of. It's crazy. Mom and Dad tried to be really calm about it at dinner but I think they don't like it. Tanya and Natalie helped me do it. Of course Tanya kept her hair boring but Natalie cut hers shorter so its a bit cooler but still, they wonder why I won't be in a band with them? I don't know what I want to do with my life. Maybe I should be in a band. But I don't know. I like photography and painting the most I think. And I love dancing.

We mainly listened to Kraftwork. We played Trans-Europe Express and The Man-Machine.
Definately my favorite songs are "The Robots" and "Neon Lights" but I think I like Neon Lights a little more because I can be really melodramatic when I dance to it. Like I can use big arm movements and sway alot or I can be really still and sway a bit or I can sit and study to it or I can eat dinner and function normally to it. I'm not sure what I like more, really beautiful and repetive music like Kraftwork or really angsty and all over the place music like X-Ray Specs. I feel like Siousxie and the Banshees kind of spans both of these methods? I'm not sure. I love the lyrics though! Plus their outfits are cool.

Neon lights
Shimmering neon lights
And at the fall of night
This city's made of light

DIE
